Arkiv kan være redskaper for makt eller motmakt i ulike samfunn. Historier har av ulike grunner blitt skjult i arkivene, eller arkivene har blitt holdt skjult for offentligheten. Noen arkiver har blitt forsøkt ødelagt. Konferansen "Looted, lost or hidden. Archives and Politics" den 27. februar ser nærmere på arkivenes sprengkraft.
